I’m having some dificult to attach images and WhatsApp number in the scene. It’s the first time I’m trying these features so I’m not sure how to exactly proceed.
The frame is showing the full resolution image, wich doesn’t fit properly in the frame. I would like to have a responsive image. And the WhatsApp extension isn’t working as well.
Do you mean images stored on an external server and not inside Shapespark? I didn’t have the time to test it yet. But I will need to implement this function within the next two weeks. I can tell you then if @jan script works or not. But I am confident it will

I use this website to upload my images: https://imgbb.com/ (for all I know Shapespark doesn’t host images, right?)
Then I copy the url link and paste in Shapespark HTML extension editor. And I’ve noticed that the frame uses the original image resolution (in this case 2000x1500), whatever the size of the screen you are using.
I’would like the full image fit in the screen, even on laptops or mobile.
For now, I’ve reduced the resolution of the image by 750x600, and it worked ok in my 15" laptop, but if the the client of my client has a 27" screen, the image will show smaller than it could be.
So it would be nice if Shapespark frame was responsive in any device.
Here is an example code that adjusts the image to the screen size:
I don’t think it’s complicated, delete the title and text from the example, replace the image with yours with the maximum dimensions and save the file. Then call the page with the iframe extension to Shapespark and don’t worry about the size - it will adapt to any screen.
Maybe the solution is better to copy the code to the html extension and give the complete path to the image.
One of the methods to adapt the image to the viewport (display) size is to use viewport-related units: vw (viewport width) and vh (viewport height) to specify image size. For example:
<img src="SRC" style="width: 75vw;">
will make the image take 75% of the viewport horizontally, and the height will be scaled to maintain the aspect ratio.
I think features like this (responsive images) is basic nowadays, and they should be a standard Shapespark feature. We constantly waste considerable time doing researches and trying to learn things, that in my opinion, Shapespark should offer as standard feature.
As 3D artists, we must optimize and dedicate each second of our day to meet our client deadlines, and we don’t have the time to spend learning about programing.
Don’t give me wrong, it’s just a constructive criticism. I’m pretty sure if these things were more intuitive and easy to anyone to achieve (see Lumion 10, and their drag and drop features as example), Shapespark would reach so much more in this industry.
@Anthoni, thanks for your feedback. We’ll extend the HTML label configuration, so that users could specify it’s size (responsive - relative to the viewport), and perhaps also location.
@Vladan, we don’t have plans to add such features to Shapespark.
As for the examples you link to, it looks like a user could integrate them into a Shapespark scene, by adapting their code into body-end.html and Script extension, but it’d definitely be a non-trivial task.
