i would like to ask, What is the best way to control the size of the bundle file?
Three most important things for the final size of a self-hosted scene are:
- The number of lightmaps (it is best to limit it to two or one)
- Geometry size (it is best to keep in below 5 million triangles).
- Making sure that your HTTP servers uses gzip compression when serving geometry files from the bundle.
The bundle total size does not represent how much data the visitor will need to download. The bundle size is much larger because it contains two or three copies of each texture to accommodate for different devices and the geometry files are stored uncompressed in the bundle (but should be compressed by the server when serving the bundle).
