SOLVED - Installation 1.10.0 fails on Win10

Failed to start http server

Firewalll not active
Antivirus stopped.

Hi!

Hve you tried uninstalling Shapespark and then installing it from scratch, but with anti-virus stopped also during the installation (Firewall may be active)?

Yes, with no success. Do you have some other hints?

Could you send us the aplication logs via email (support@shapespark.com)? You will find them in C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Shapespark\log\ folder. The installer log file - C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Shapespark\SquirrelSetup.log - might be also helpful.

Thanks for the support by wojtek, the problem was an unexistent path in my OS.

For future reference, Shapespark was unable to create a folder to store screenshots taken in the editor, because Pictures - the standard Windows location for images - didn’t exist. This prevented Shapespark from launching.

In the next release, lack of the Pictures location will not cause an error - Shapespark will use the temporary directory instead.
