Are editor settings preserved when a scene is updated by re-importing a 3D model?

I am having issues updating an Sketchup model using the cloud extension, every time I click on ‘update’ all my custom settings are lost… and this article say this doesn’t happens so I want to know what Im doing wrong: https://help.shapespark.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008991618-Are-editor-settings-preserved-when-a-scene-is-updated-by-re-importing-a-3D-model

My process is simple:

  1. I open sketchup and change something.
  2. I click on cloud export and “Update an existing scene”
  3. I wait for the update process.
  4. When I open my scene all my previous configuration is lost, minimap, render, custom views, everything.

Please help, thanks.

Most likely you’re not clicking Save in the Shapespark editor before re-exporting from SketchUp. Any unsaved changes (minimap, views, etc.) get overwritten when the update comes in.
Try this order: edit in the Shapespark editor → Save → then export the update from SketchUp.

I’d like to restate here what I have sent the OP in the private message: This is not a designed behaviour. Fix will be published in a nearest release. Untill then please use the desktop app where this problem doesn’t show up.
