Changing URL for Project

Hi there,

Complete beginner here who has searched the forum for a similar thread but couldn’t see anything relevant on first glance.

Background:

I’m currently working on a project for a client where they have maxed out the total amount of projects (3) on their starter plan on their web login. They have asked whether I can change the url on one of the projects to something shorter.

I couldn’t see an easy way to do this in the “edit” project tab. So was hoping I could do the following instead (but don’t want to try it without asking first - for fear of deleting the project!)

  1. Download the project to the desktop application
  2. Create a clone of the project with the correct project name (I’m guessing this becomes the new url?)
  3. Delete the old project on the web portal
  4. Upload the cloned project to the web portal

Is this the correct way to do this without losing any data?

Yes, this is correct way to do this.

If you had some unused hosting slots, you could simply use the “Clone” action followed by deleting the old scene, however as I understand, this is not the case.
