Customizing the message when the participant limit is reached

Hello Shapespark team,

We are using Shapespark meetings to host interactive conferences. We are aware that the current limit for simultaneous participants is 50 users.

We would like to anticipate cases where this limit might be reached.
Could you please let us know:

  • if there is a specific message or event triggered when the meeting room is full, and

  • whether it is possible to customize this message (for example through the body-end script or a JavaScript hook) to display a personalized notice inviting users to join our YouTube live stream or another space instead?

Our goal is to provide a clear redirection rather than a simple connection failure.

Thank you in advance for your help and any technical details you can share about how to intercept or modify this behavior.

Hello,

In the situation when a meeting user limit is reached, the user should receive the following message: “Maximum number of attendees reached. Please, try again later”. It’s displayed in a div with id=“error-message”. There is no ‘official’ way in which you could customise this message. Still, you could try implementing some JS code which would query this div every second or so for the specific error message and replace it with something else when it shows up.
