Deno 1.39 adds support for WebGPU

Deno 1.39 adds support for WebGPU again: the API provides developers with a way to program GPU hardware through JavaScript with high performance. The Deno team sees WebGPU as the effective successor to WebGL on the web. The specification has already been finalized, and Chrome already supports the API – Firefox and Safari are still in the process of implementing it. Deno had initially added support for WebGPU in early 2021 but removed it earlier this year due to performance issues. This information comes from the Deno blog.
