I frequently have trouble when I want objects to face the Y-Axis to the camera while moving. Objects don’t behave as expected and are facing the backside instead of the front. I think this is a max-related problem.
Is it possible for you to add a Switch Y-Axis button to fix this behavior inside of Shapespark?
@tim, in your 3ds Max model, is the front side of the object always oriented towards the +Y axis? In other words, is the front side of the object looking at the +Y infinity?
