Will there be any way to get true non perspective Plan Views in the future?
Just to clarify, you would like to have such orthographic top views:
instead of the currently available perspective top views:
We are looking into this. Several mechanisms in the application assume that the perspective camera is used, we are checking how feasible it is to generalize them to support also orthographic camera.

@bray after experimenting with it, the orthographic camera support is a considerable undertaking. We won’t add it in the nearest releases, but will keep the request in mind for the longer term.

any update on this? Is this available and I’m just not seeing it in editor?
Shapespark still doesn’t support top views with orthographic camera, only standard perspective camera can be used.

Hi @Digiwip,
Maybe you can make an orthographic image and place it on a plane below your model, so when you generate a plan or orbit view you can hide all the other elements and leave only the surface with the image, this could be done for sections and elevations as well. It’s laborious but it can work!
