Right Interface disapears

Hello,

my UI on the right side disapeared. I had done several actions which of course I lost because saving was not possible.

My last actions were:

  • create a view
  • click an object
  • click on “custom hide in views”
    → UI disapeared

I reloaded the scene, did these steps again and it was fine.

It would be good to have the save button above in the windows menu.

Best
Alex

The same thing is happening to me.
It occurs randomly, regardless of the scene.
It happens when I edit an object.
It can happen in desktop apps or browser apps.
Is there any way to save the scene when the right interface turns off?

Hi,
When the interface on the right disappears, it means that the editor crashes and saving at this point won’t work. This is an obvious bug and we will try to fix it.
When this happens next time in the cloud editor (in the browser), could You open the developer console, as described here:

Make a screenshot and send it to us?
There should be some messages on the red background visible. If there are more than one, then you could extend the developer console and then make a screenshot, so that all of the messages are visible. Alternatively you could just copy those messages and paste them here.
It would help us identify the problem much quicker.

Thanks for reporting!

The same phenomenon sometimes occurs with desktop applications.
I would like to be able to save from the top left menu as well.

Hi,
Unfortunately once the editor crashes, there is not much that we can do, except to find out what the problem was and fix it. Saving the scene at this point would be risky (the scene might become corrupted).

If this kind of problem happens to you in the desktop editor, could you try to replicate this in the browser and see what errors are visible in the browser console?
While the Shapespark editor is running in the background, you can open 127.0.0.1:5000 in the browser. This will give you access to the Shapespark dashboard and allow you to open the editor in the Chrome browser for example.
If you could send us screenshots from the browser console after the editor crashed, that would be very helpful!
