Hey!

I have the problem that the settings for the Angle Limit in orbit mode are not considered after I closed the scene.
I set the Down value to 0, but it falls back to -90 always.

Maybe you can take a look at this.

Thx

Hi!

Thanks a lot for reaching out to us. We have found the root cause of this issue and it will be fixed in the next release. This only happens with setting of the value to 0, so if you are ok with setting it to -1 or 1 (which should feel similar in this case) then that should work without any issues.

Shapespark 3.1.0 is out with the following changes:

  • Revit exporter can now export directly to the cloud.
  • Improved multi-trigger: each triggered extension can now have different triggering modes. For example, extensions can now be activated/deactivated by multi-trigger.
  • Introduced texture corrections (inversion, contrast and brightness adjustments) to roughness, metallic and bump channels. Those channels can now be generated from the same texture as base color inside the editor, without any external tools.
  • Extensions order can now be changed.
  • Fixed reflections not working properly on double-sided cutout/transparent materials.
  • Fixed camera settings not resetting when deleting enabled camera volume.
  • Fixed issue with water being broken when scene edited in the cloud was published.
  • Fixed per-object simplification level not working for meshes which had multiple instances.
  • Fixed hide in menu option not hiding the view instantly in the editor.
  • Fixed angle limit and other view settings resetting to their default value when saving their value as 0.
  • Added option to import WebP images.
  • Added requirement for WebP support in the browser.

lovely update, thank you! Is 3ds Max 2025 support included as well?

Not yet, but we are planning to add support for 3ds Max 2025 and also Revit 2025 in the next release.

Shapespark 3.1.1 is out with the following changes:

  • Added support for Revit 2025.
  • Fixed issue with invalid camera transition between different floors, when floor visibility changes.
  • Fixed broken grass materials when used in material picker.
  • Fixed issue with Ctrl-Z and Ctrl-Y when type of material has changed.
  • Fixed saving of texture correction settings for metallic, roughness and bump channels.
  • Fixed saving of anti-tiling settings.
  • Fixed empty baking status messages, which happened when a lot of objects had decreased lightmap resolution.

Shapespark 3.2.0 is out with the following changes:

  • Introduced Bake Preview mode which allows for real-time updating of lighting in the desktop editor. The bake preview is an approximation of the actual lighting after the baking and should be used as a help in setting up the lighting. You can find this option in the desktop editor in the Bake tab.
  • Auto-tour will not start automatically when scene loads in edit mode.
  • Fixed slow / broken lightmap baking on scenes with large numbers of degenerate triangles.
  • Fixed Ctrl-Z not working properly when multiple objects (like lights) were transformed.

Bake-preview feature has it’s own topic: New feature: Bake Preview

Lovely - any news about 3dsmax 2025 support?

Unfortunately 3dsmax 2025 support wasn’t ready for 3.2.0 release. We are still working on it and I think that there is good chance that it will be included in the next release (within a few weeks).
